Naturally printed with Hibiscus Flower, Cotinus Leaves, Bidens Frondosa, Coreopsis.
Hand hemmed with silk tread.
To obtain botanical prints, I “paint” with plants, placing them on my textiles, then bundling it all and steaming for several hours. As a result, an essence of the flowers, leaves or bark is released and imprinted on the fabric. The only colors present come from Mother Nature! This technique is a marriage of art and science.
“Double the Pleasure” is truly that. When folded lengthwise, half of the scarf is in the shades of cream and soft yellow with some green and soft peach. The other side is a harmony of blues and purple. It can be worn one way or the other, or twisted all together to reveal a full color palette.
